Congratulations to the 2025 Beautification Award Winners!

We’re excited to celebrate three neighbors who have gone above and beyond to make our historic South Side neighborhood shine! Each of these homes are winners because neighbors (you!) recognized and nominated neighbors for their dedication, care, and hard work to preserve their historic homes.

210 S Washington St
This past year, Amy and Bob Doyle spent countless hours choosing paint samples and matching the right color combination and boy did it pay off! This cheerful burst of color and thoughtfully painted details really makes their home standout and shine on S Washington st. Its a must-see in person! Great job, Amy & Bob!

112 S Washington St
After a bad storm years back, a large tree crushed the back part of this home. The Jentzen family has spent the last year painstakingly restoring and building it back up as if the accident never happened. This thoughtful restoration was done through countless hours of historic research and careful planning to preserve this beautiful home for many years to come. Amazing work, Mary and Steve!

301 S Huron St
If you've ever stopped at the light on Catherine/S Huron I'm sure you've seen this beauty! Karen’s incredible green thumb really makes this corner of S Huron shine. Her hard work building and maintaining her beautiful gardens in the front and back compliment this gorgeous fairytale-like home. Keep up the incredible work, Karen!
